Nelson Electricity Ltd (NEL) is the company that delivers electricity to you on behalf of your energy retailer (eg; Trustpower, Contact, Meridian).  
We are responsible for managing and operating the electricity distribution network in the central Nelson City area.

Our network comprises approximately 8,800 connections in a concentrated area of 24 square kilometres.   
Approximately 7,000 of the connections are residential and the remainder are commercial or industrial.
